Department of Biochemistry Participated in Science Summit United Nations General Assembly 78

Prof. Dr. Iram Murtaza, Chairperson Department of Biochemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and her Ph.D. scholar Ms. Ayesha Ishtiaq (Convenor of the Session) for represented Department of Biochemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, at the Science Summit United Nations General Assembly 78. It is a significant achievement to have the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event.
Prof. Dr. Iram Murtaza delivered an insightful talk on “Targeting Different Signalling Modulators in Non-Communicable Diseases as a Roadmap to Frugal Innovation”. Addressing the impact of Frugal Innovations on healthcare is crucial, especially in the context of non-communicable diseases, which have a significant global health burden.
Dr. Hussain Wahedi (former faculty member) also delivered an enlightening talk titled “Principles and Significance of Frugal Innovation in Healthcare,” shedding light on the fundamental principles of resource-efficient innovation in healthcare research and its profound impact.
